Due to the international sanitary crisis, there is a lot of uncertainty concerning the 2021 Grand Prix of Monaco. Many events around the world have been canceled. However, the 2021 Formula 1 Grand-Prix started in Bahrein last March and since then, all races have been maintained.

Many people are wondering if one of the most challenging and captivating circuit of the Formula 1 will be held this May. Going through the Casino Square, past luxurious yachts and shops, the circuit of Monaco is extremely famous, even a legend

In 2018, Daniel Ricciardo was the winner of the Monaco F1 Grand Prix. The next year Lewis Hamilton won the trophy. In 2020, the race was not held due to the sanitary crisis.

Can we expect Charles Leclerc, the Monegasque driver, to win his country’s race this year? We are certainly wishing him all the best.

Is the GP of Monaco going to happen?

Will the supporters be able to cheer the drivers in the stands?

Is it possible to buy seating grandstands places?

Will the restaurants, shops and bars be open to the public by that time?

Is a negative PCR test mandatory to enter the Monegasque territory?

Indeed, the Automobile Club de Monaco confirmed that the F1 Grand Prix of Monaco will be held from the 20th to the 23rd of May and decided to hold two other races: the historic and the E-Grand Prix all in a single month. It is a real organizational challenge but feasible. As a result of this, the stands have been set up earlier, in February instead of March, for the three 2021 upcoming grand prix. Yet nothing guarantees that there will not be some last-minute changes.

Regarding the places on sale, the closed session should be ruled out. Each year the race is followed by nearly 20 000 spectators throughout the whole weekend in the grandstands, the number of places will be reduced this year. The organization envisaged a fill rate of between 8 800 and 11 000 spectators for seating and VIP places. Places in the stand K will be reserved for Charles Leclerc’s supporters and will have access to a zoom conference where they will have the chance to exchange with the young driver.

A negative PCR test is mandatory only if staying in hotels. The restaurants are at this time open only for Monegasques, residents and people staying in the city. There is no quarantine in Monaco. Still, a curfew is set from 9:00pm to 6:00am until the 2nd of May 2021 at least. Gathering in public spaces are limited to 6 persons. Wearing a mask in public spaces and transports is mandatory.
